Rora Realm Integrates Chainlink VRF and Chainlink Keepers To Help Power Its Roraverse Raffle

With the upcoming launch of the Roraverse raffle, Rora Realm is excited to announce that we have integrated Chainlink Verifiable Random Function (VRF) and Chainlink Keepers on BNB Chain. By integrating the industry-leading decentralized oracle network, we now have access to a tamper-proof and auditable source of randomness needed to help select winners in our Roraverse raffle. Thanks to our integration of Chainlink VRF, players can have higher confidence that all users have a fair opportunity of winning prizes while enjoying the fun new game!

Chainlink Keepers helps us automate the draw process seamlessly and in a decentralized manner. By integrating the time-based trigger system that Chainlink Keepers offers, our draws are seamlessly and autonomously processed, week in, week out.

How the raffle works:

The raffle will start every Sunday at 7pm UTC. Tickets can be purchased with RORA tokens.
$1 in RORA = 1 ticket. At the end of the time frame, the raffle is drawn.

For each raffle, there are 11 winners: 1 winner wins 50% of the total prize pool, 10 winners win 25% of the total prize pool. 20% of the prize pool is burned and 5% of the prize pool goes to the Rora treasury.

- Winners are drawn on Sunday at 6pm UTC

- New raffle starts an hour later, at 7pm UTC

Winners are determined by random selection, underpinned by Chainlink VRF’s provably fair RNG, taking into account how many tickets each person has purchased. More tickets = higher chances to win.

We have a feeling that our new raffle is going to be very popular. For this reason, we felt it was important to bring transparency and security to the winner selection process so no single party could unfairly influence the results.

Chainlink VRF

Chainlink VRF works by combining block data that is still unknown when the request is made with the oracle node’s pre-committed private key to generate both a random number and a cryptographic proof. The Rora Realm smart contract will only accept the random number input if it has a valid cryptographic proof, and the cryptographic proof can only be generated if the VRF process is tamper-proof. This helps provide users with automated and publicly verifiable proof directly on-chain that each raffle winner selected is done by using Chainlink VRF for randomness is provably fair and cannot be tampered with or predicted by the oracle, outside entities, or the Rora Realm team.

Chainlink Keepers

Rora Realm has also integrated Chainlink Keepers into our raffle system to help automate the draw process to execute at the same time every week.
